Job Summary

ANTRIM AND NEWTOWNABBEY BOROUGH COUNCIL

OPERATIONS

LEISURE

RELIEF RECREATION AND FITNESS ASSISANT (2 x 18.5 hour posts)

Post 1 – 18.5 hours Temporary for 12 months with possible extension subject to review

Post 2 – 18.5 hours Maternity Cover

SCALE 3  (SCP 14-17) £17,681 to £18,672 (pro rata)

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Provision of reliable cover for annual leave and other requirements determined by the exigencies of the service and provision of a high quality service to customers using the Antrim Forum Complex.

Recruitment Process

The recruitment process will assess the suitability of the candidates against the requirements for the post including the 4 competencies identified in the Competence Framework for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council. The process will include the following:

Interview – Those who have been successful at shortlisting will be invited to attend for an interview where the 4 competencies will be assessed. Further details will be provided to candidates prior to the interview.

A reserve list will be created for these posts for a 12 month period. If the same job becomes available in any location within 12 months this will be offered to reserve candidates in order of merit.
