Job Summary

A vacancy currently exists within Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the following post and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates:-

Health & Safety Manager

37 hours per week

Salary Scale P04   SCP 41-44   £36,379 - £39,177 per annum

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To provide competent advice and guidance to officers within Mid & East Antrim Borough Council with respect to the management of occupational health and safety in order that Council may comply with its duties under the Health and Safety at Work (NI) Order 1978, relevant statutory provisions and best practice.

Develop and ensure the effective implementation of programmes for promoting health, safety and wellbeing within Council.

Daily operational and development responsibility for the Corporate Health, Safety and Wellbeing function of Mid & East Antrim Borough Council.
