  1. How do I search for a job?

    You can search for jobs in a variety of ways. If you already know the title of the job which you are searching for, simply enter the title in the 'Quick Job Search' bar the top of each page. If you would like to view available jobs in a specific category, select the category from the dropdown menu on the 'Available Jobs' page and click search. You can also search via council location, or select both a category and a location to search in order to return all available jobs within one category in a specific council area.

  2. How do I find out more about a job?

    Clicking on the 'View job details/ apply' button will take you to the 'Job Details' page which will provide you with all the information about the job. This includes job summary, spinal points, job hours etc.

  3. How do I apply for a job?

    Once you have found a job that you would like to apply for, click on the 'Apply for this job' button on the job details page. This will redirect you to the Council's own site where you can apply for the job.

  4. Where does my application get sent to?

    Your application will be sent to the HR department of the council you applied to.

  5. Has my application been received yet?

    You will receive an email letting you know that your application has been successfully received once you submit your online application. This email will also have a downloadable copy of your completed application and monitoring forms attached.

  6. How do I create a 'My Profile' account?

    To register for an account, simply click on the 'Create your My Profile /login' link at the top of the page or the 'My Profile' tab and follow the instructions for registering for a new 'My Profile'.

  7. How do I login to my 'My Profile' account?

    To login to your 'My Profile' account, click on the 'My Profile' tab at the top of the page or the 'Create your My Profile/ Login' link at the top of the page.

  8. How can I set up a job alert on My Profile?

    To set up a job alert, click on the 'My Profile' tab. Follow the instructions to set up alerts for jobs in categories or council locations of your choice. You will be notified as soon as a job goes live in your chosen categories or council locations.

  9. How do I delete my Local Government Jobs NI My Profile account?

    To delete your My Profile account, click on the 'My Profile' tab at the top of the page. Click the 'Delete My Profile Account' option and follow the instructions.
